Dr. Jamie Troutman, has been appointed as the new Chief Of Programs at Quality Comprehensive Health Center. "We're thrilled to welcome Dr. Jamie to the executive team. Quality Home Care Services, DBA Quality Comprehensive Health Center, (QCHC) is a multi-faceted, one-stop shop organization, with two locations, one in Concord, NC and has been anchored in the West End, Charlotte, NC, community for over 17 years.
Dr. Jamie Troutman is a Charlotte native, a mom to three beautiful puppies, and a public health advocate. She has been with Quality Comprehensive Health Center since December 2021, serving as the Data Manager/Program Evaluator.
Before joining QCHC, she completed her Ph.D. at the University of South Carolina (UofSC) with a focus in Health Promotion, Education and Behavior (HPEB) in August 2019. Prior to seeking a Ph.D., she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Communication Studies at UNC Charlotte in 2010, followed by a Master’s of Public Health through East Carolina University in 2014.
Over the past ten years, she has conducted research studies focusing on sexual and reproductive health, HIV/STI prevention and treatment, substance abuse prevention, health disparities, health communication, and health technology. The majority of her work has focused on community-based research with minority populations. Her research has also allowed her to work with several colleges and universities, including HBCUs, and to collaborate with a wide range of community partners. In addition to her research, she has held several positions with non-profit organizations focusing on providing services to underrepresented and underserved populations focusing on HIV/STI prevention and treatment, homelessness, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and overall access to care.
